Syllabus Collection: The AP-LS Teaching, Training, and Careers Committee is continuing its efforts to collect syllabi for courses in Psychology and Law or closely related topics. These syllabi have been posted on the web for everyone's easy access. You may download any of the collected syllabi for Undergraduate Courses (click here) or Graduate Courses (click here) We would appreciate your assistance in providing us with a copy of your syllabi. If you have not already provided one, please send a copy of your syllabi to Kevin O'Neil as an e-mail attachment (Word or PDF files are preferred).
The Society for the Teaching of Psychology (Division 2 of APA) also collects syllabi for courses on psychology and law, and all other fields of psychology. You can access their collection HERE.
Teaching Materials for Undergraduate Legal Psychology Courses: Dr. Edie Greene and Erica Drew have collected information intended for instructors of undergraduate courses in psychology and law. As interest in the field has grown, so too has the availability of materials that instructors can use to enhance students’ experiences and deepen their understanding of core concepts, theories, and practices in psychology and law. The goal is to gather these diverse materials and make them easily accessible to instructors. The information is collected HERE as a PDF file.
Each edition of the AP-LS Newsletter (for archives click here) includes a column titled "Teaching Techniques." The most recent column, Developing a Course on the Issue of Child Abuse with a Global Perspective by Dr. Beth Schwartz (Randolph College) is available on this Web page.
