CSTC Juvenile Forensic Evaluator. Child Study & Treatment Center in Lakewood, Washington, is accepting applications from psychologists with experience conducting juvenile forensic evaluations through 12/22/11. The position requires specialized knowledge of forensic evaluations, child/adolescent development and psychopathology, and the juvenile justice system. Candidates must have a doctoral degree in psychology from an accredited school or department of psychology and be licensed or license-eligible in the state of Washington.
CSTC Forensic Services provides evaluations to juvenile courts throughout the state of Washington. Typical cases require clinical diagnosis, evaluation of competence-related capacities, and risk assessment. Some cases also require evaluation of mental state, such as “insanity” and “diminished capacity.” A few cases result in referral for treatment of competence restoration.
