The Center for Behavioral Medicine in Kansas City, Missouri is accepting applications for a Clinical Postdoctoral Resident in the area of Forensic Psychology. The resident, under the direct supervision of a licensed psychologist, will serve as a member of an inpatient interdisciplinary treatment team dedicated to patients who have been committed to the Missouri Department of Mental Health as Incompetent to Proceed. Responsibilities include provision of psychodiagnostic assessments and group and individual therapies. Additional training opportunities include didactic seminars, case conferences, and journal club. The resident for the 2011-2012 training year will receive a salary of $34,646 and benefits. This residency begins September 1, 2011 with facility orientation in August, if possible. This is a one-year, full-time (i.e., 40 hours per week) position. 

Applicants should have completed an APA-accredited doctoral program in clinical or counseling psychology and an APA-accredited internship by September 2011. Prior forensic and/or correctional experience is preferred. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
