Founded in 1979, The Chicago School of Professional Psychology is an independent professional graduate school with a dynamic student body and a professionally accomplished faculty. Our curriculum and training opportunities prepare graduates to deliver outstanding professional services emphasizing the ability to understand and work with diverse populations.

The International Psychology doctoral program at our new Washington, DC Campus seeks highly qualified candidates who typify our engaged practitioner model of education to fill a full-time chair position. Ideal applicants will have high energy, proven skills in graduate-level administration and teaching, and have a commitment to scholarship and service.

Responsibilities include: teach students at a graduate level in topics related to International Psychology, provide dissertation supervision and academic advisement; recruitment, hiring, supervision, evaluation, and promotion of faculty; program development and improvement; curriculum quality and development; the assessment of student learning; course scheduling; contribute to curriculum design, monitor student learning outcomes and progress.

Ideal candidates will have a strong commitment to academic excellence, community service, and diversity. Candidates must have a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or a closely related field and exemplary professional experience in multicultural, transnational, and bicultural psychology.

Candidates with familiarity with online and blended teaching formats are encouraged to apply. This position will begin in summer 2012 and are subject to final approval of funding.
