JOB DESCRIPTION

The Department of Forensic Clinical Services, Circuit Court of Cook County is seeking a full-time psychologist to join its adult forensic program.  Applicants must have a Ph.D./Psy.D. in psychology and be licensed or license eligible as a Clinical Psychologist in Illinois.  The ideal candidate is expected to have excellent assessment skills, strong writing proficiency, and solid clinical training.  Special consideration will be given to applicants with formal training in clinical neuropsychology (e.g., APA-accredited internship, postdoctoral fellowship).  Specialized forensic training is also desirable.  The selected psychologist will conduct court ordered forensic clinical examinations, submit written reports, and provide expert witness court testimony regarding psycholegal issues such as competence to stand trial, criminal responsibility, risk assessment, etc.  A competitive salary with excellent benefits is offered.
