PSYCHOLOGIST, FORENSIC: The Court Psychiatric Clinic of the Cuyahoga County (Cleveland, Ohio) Common Pleas Court is accepting applications for a full time (40 hours per week) psychologist with at least one year of forensic training and/or experience to join a professional staff of 22. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing court ordered forensic evaluations including: Competency to Stand Trial, Sanity at the Time of the Act, Mitigation, Civil Commitment, and Violence Risk Assessment. The Court Psychiatric Clinic is a busy facility preparing over 700 Competency to Stand Trial and a similar number of Sanity evaluations of felony-level defendants annually. Well-developed assessment, diagnostic, and report-writing skills are essential. Familiarity with both severe mental illness and developmental disability is required. The position requires the candidate to have an Ohio license (or be license eligible) and to have completed an APA accredited predoctoral internship. Forensic post doctoral training is a plus.
