Position Summary

Assist in the development, organization, writing and presentation of a sound research study using principles of social psychology, objective observation, quantitative analysis, creative thinking and logic.  He or she should support more senior research staff by: setting up research exercises; negotiating with recruiting facilities; developing screening information for research participants; running focus groups; conducting research data analysis; creating graphical presentation of quantitative data; writing analysis of mock deliberation sessions and other jury research analyses; contributing strategic ideas; and drafting sections of analytic reports.

Job Qualifications

  • Exceptional writing, speaking, and presentation skills
  • Ability to generate creative solutions to client problems
  • Firm grasp of social science research methodology
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • PhD or Masters in the Social Sciences, Psychology, or Communications preferred or Law Degree
  • Skilled in statistical analysis and interpretation
  • Strong computer skills (word-processing, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Highly responsive to feedback

Job Duties  

  • Managing and running social science research projects
  • Effective communication with colleagues and participants
  • Analyze quantitative data using SPSS
  • Assisting with presenting research results, both oral and written, to trial teams and corporate clients in a clear and concise manner
  • Supervised writing of research reports 
  • Training more junior staff in report-writing, research design, and research set-up
  • Performing juror interviews
