The Department of PSYCHOLOGY at the UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA invites applications for a full time (9-mo) Assistant Professor (tenure track) in SOCIAL PSYCHOLOGY.  The position starts in August 2012 and salary is commensurate with qualifications; a Ph.D. is required. Applicants should provide evidence of outstanding research and teaching potential. 

We expect the successful applicant to develop an independent program of research that can garner significant extramural support, supervise and mentor graduate students, teach graduate and undergraduate classes, and participate in program and departmental governance.
