Research Assistant and Research Associate

Trial Partners, Inc., a leading trial consulting firm headquartered in Los Angeles, wants smart, personable, and talented individuals to fill two positions: (1) a full-time Research Assistant and (2) a full-time Research Associate to work in the areas of jury research, litigation consulting, and communications training.  We have offices in Los Angeles, Chicago and San Francisco.  The positions we are seeking to fill are in the Los Angeles and San Francisco offices.  

The Research Associate will assist in planning and managing all aspects of research projects.  Additionally, the Research Associate will perform qualitative and quantitative data analysis, draft questionnaires, help compile reports, conduct venue research, and research various cases.  The Research Associate must have at least two years experience in quantitative research methodologies and survey design.  Experience working in the trial consulting industry is a plus, while experience with SPSS, PowerPoint, Microsoft Word and Excel is essential.  Some travel and occasional weekends are required.  

The Research Assistant will also assist in planning all aspects of research project logistics with clients and vendors, perform qualitative and quantitative data analysis, draft questionnaires, help compile reports, and research case backgrounds, trial venues and verdicts.  Some travel and occasional weekends are required.   A bachelor’s degree in a social science discipline and experience working in a fast-paced work environment are essential for both positions.  The candidate must have strong writing and speaking skills, knowledge of research methodology, and familiarity with statistical analysis and interpretation (SPSS).  Aptitude for critical thinking, multi-tasking and problem-solving are crucial.  The ideal Research Assistant and Research Associate is a team player who displays confidence and assertiveness and is eager to play a vital role in a firm that prides itself on providing first rate services to its clients.  In addition, we want to hire a candidate who wants to have a long term career at Trial Partners.
