POSITION DESCRIPTION:  The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP), Department of Psychology, invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in our Legal Psychology program.  Exceptional applicants of all ranks will be considered.  Salary will be commensurate with qualifications.  The anticipated appointment date is fall 2012.

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT:  The Psychology Department has 16 faculty members and is nationally recognized as a center for research on law and psychology.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:  A Ph.D. in Psychology; published research; potential to attract external funding; and the ability to teach and direct research at the graduate and undergraduate level.  Research focus can be in traditional or emerging (e.g. Border Security) areas of Legal Psychology.
